MISSION
Artists and scientists have long looked to nature for inspiration, and innovations have led to great leaps forward in culture and technology.
By combining fields we aim to open up a dialogue and provide an outlet for sharing research with the general public.
Art and scientific research are fundamentally the same in that they are both driven by observation and curiosity, and push boundaries to arrive at innovative solutions. Our programmes integrate involvement with Indigenous communities and offer in-depth lectures and workshops led by local specialists in the scientific field.
We provide a meeting point where participants can investigate and challenge their creative practices in a stimulating environment. Bringing international and local artists together in immersive Art & Science programmes provides participants with an opportunity to form a deep understanding of the conservation challenges faced by Indigenous communities in threatened areas.
Artists are known to be creative problem solvers and are able to disseminate complex topics in an approachable way to a broad audience.
