BOTSWANA

This residency offers artists the opportunity to connect with the unique ecosystems and cultural significance of the Okavango Delta and Makgadikgadi Pan area in Botswana. By working in these ecosystems, artists draw inspiration from the diverse flora and fauna, as well as from the local communities and their relationship with the environment.

This program provides a unique opportunity for artists to learn about and collaborate with the local Maasai community in the Nashulai Maasai Conservancy. By hearing from the Maasai community about their traditional ways of living in coexistence with wildlife, artists gain valuable insights and understanding that can inform their artwork and promote environmental conservation.

This program in based on an Isalnd in Zambia along the Zambezi river giving artists an opportunity to be immersed in a unique cultural and natural environment, while also contributing to the local community.

The residency focuses on traditional practices and community engagement offering artists a valuable perspective and inspiration for their artistic practice, while also promoting cultural exchange and understanding.
